The European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM) is an international scientific conference dedicated to academics and professionals related to composite material. The conference is organized by the European Society For Composite Materials (ESCM)[1] and is held biannually[2][3][4], usually in alternance with the ICCM. The topics represented at the conference include, among others, fracture and damage, multiscale modeling, durability, aging, process modeling, simulation, additive manufacturing, bio-sourced composites, material recycling and reuse of parts, and environmental impacts.

History

[edit]

The conference was organized for the first time in September 1985 in Bordeaux[2] by the European Association of Composite Materials (EACM), created one year earlier[5]. As the European Society For Composite Materials (ESCM) succeeded to the EACM in 1998[1][3], it assumed the conference organization.
