Description
English: The Machinery Hall at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA was designed by C. V. Kerr of Patten & Fisher and built in 1901. The building was gifted by Malvina Armour and dedicated to the memory of her son, Philip D. Armour, Jr. The Armour Institute initially used the building for classrooms and laboratories for teaching mechanical arts classes. Currently, it houses the Illinois Institute of Technology Facilities offices and storage. In 2004 the building was recognized as a Chicago Landmark.
Français : Le Machinery Hall de l'Illinois Institute of Technology à Chicago, dans l'Illinois (États Unis). Le bâtiment a été dessiné par C. V. Kerr du bureau Patten & Fisher en construit en 1901. Ce bâtiment a été offert à l'institut par Malvina Armour et est dédié à la mémoire de son fils, Philip D. Armour, Jr. Le bâtiment a d'abord été utilisé comme classes et laboratoires pour l'enseignement de cours de mécanique. Actuellement, il abrite les bureaux de l'Illinois Institute of Technology Facilities et des lieux de stockage. Depuis 1984, ce bâtiment à le statut de bâtiment remarquable de Chicago.
