English: Knowlton Plate 18 fig 8; First figured as Ulmus speciosa. Specimens later reidentified as Ulmus newberryi by Chaney & Axelrod, 1959, Moved back to Ulmus speciosa by Tanai & Wolfe 1977

Langhian (Barstovian), Middle Miocene; Spokane Florule, Latah Formation; Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway cut, west of Latah Creek, Spokane, Washington, U.S.A.
