Fortune Brainstorm Tech

Fortune Brainstorm Tech is an annual, invite-only conference held by Fortune magazine. The event convenes leading technologists, executives, and investors for a three-day “collective conversation” about the role of technology in society.[1]

The first event, called “Brainstorm,” was held in Aspen, Colorado in 2001. It was renamed “iMeme” in 2007[2] and “Brainstorm Tech” in 2008.[3] The event has been held in Aspen; San Francisco; Half Moon Bay, California; Pasadena, California; and Park City, Utah.

Derivative conferences have been held over the years, including Brainstorm A.I., Brainstorm Design, Brainstorm E, Brainstorm Finance, Brainstorm Green, Brainstorm Health, Brainstorm Reinvent, Brainstorm Talent, and Brainstorm Tech International.

Participants of Fortune Brainstorm Tech over the years have included Madeleine Albright, Marc Andreessen, Nikesh Arora, Marc Benioff, Steve Ballmer, Jeff Bezos, Brian Chesky, Bill Clinton, Michael Dell, John Doerr, Esther Dyson, Michael Eisner, Daniel Ek, Ari Emanuel, Rahm Emanuel, Carly Fiorina, Jensen Huang, Bob Iger, Joi Ito, Bill Joy, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Vinod Khosla, Bobby Kotick, Katrina Lake, Marissa Mayer, Doug McMillon, Michael Moritz, James Murdoch, Satya Nadella, Ray Ozzie, Chuck Robbins, Sheryl Sandberg, Eric Schmidt, Kevin Systrom, Hans Vestberg, Padmasree Warrior, Meg Whitman, Jerry Yang, and Mark Zuckerberg.[4]
