Granville Road - The Sheffield College is a tram stop on the South Yorkshire Supertram network, opened on 22 August 1994.[1] Each platform is located on opposite sides of Granville Road, the northbound platform on the north side, and vice versa. It is also near The Sheffield College and Granville Square.
History
[edit]This stop was opened along with the section between Fitzalan Square and Spring Lane in August 1994. It was extended to Gleadless Townend in December 1994 and further to Halfway in March 1995.[2]
Layout
[edit]The two platforms of Granville Road are staggered, and are placed on opposite sides of Granville Road. The southbound platform is closest to the main entrance to the Sheffield College.
At the centre of each platform, passenger information displays stand and show estimated arrival times for trams.
There are two short ramps at each end of the platforms, providing step-free access for passengers.
Services
[edit]The Blue route has a peak frequency of 5 trams per hour (every 12 minutes), and the Purple route runs hourly Monday−Saturday and every 30 minutes (peak frequency) on Sundays.

[edit]Various bus services operate on the nearby Granville Road, including routes 7 (Ecclesfield–Crystal Peaks) and 73 (Sheffield Interchange–Treeton).
Train
[edit]This tram stop is not directly connected to any railway stations, but Sheffield railway station is a 3-5 minute walk away, and can also be reached by tram.
