Gurukripa Career Institute

Gurukripa Career Institute is a coaching institute offering instructions in Hindi and English Medium at 6th to 12th and 12th+ level.[1][2] It is located in Sikar, Rajasthan, India.

Introduction

Gurukripa Career Institute is a co-educational institute catering for students preparing for the National eligibility cum Entrance test (NEET) and Joint Entrance exam (JEE). Its students hail from Indian states such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, UP, MP, Bihar, West Bengal, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.[1] [3][4][5]

History

The institute was a development of the earlier Gurukripa Institute started by Shri Pradeep Budania and Shri Rajesh Kulhari in Sikar in 2007. It opened in a rented building in Jat Colony in Sikar. The Gurukripa Career Institute started with 70 students and then had 10 staff members; by 2024, it had over 1000 staff members.[citation needed] Now the institute has 20 buildings and more than 36,000 students.[1][6]

Times of India and The Indian Express research revealed that in 2023 Sikar outperformed Kota in National eligibility cum Entrance test (NEET).[3][4][5] The Indian Express said Gurukripa had played a vital role in the city becoming a coaching centre for NEET and JEE students.[3][4]

Building sealing

In September 2024, Gurukripa Career Institute centres, along with Kalam Coaching Centers, in Jaipur were sealed by local authorities due to alleged violations of building safety regulations. The closure affected education of hundreds of students and investigations into the incident are still ongoing.[7]

Theft incident

Gurukripa Hostel was the site of a major theft in which Rs. 1.7 crore of cash was stolen. Seven suspects, including the hostel warden, were arrested. The theft raised concerns over security at the institute's hostels and leading to heightened scrutiny and investigations.[8]
