Gymnopilus obscurus is a species of mushroom-forming fungus in the family Hymenogastraceae.

Description

The cap is 3.5 to 7 centimetres (1.4 to 2.8 in) in diameter.[1]

Habitat and distribution

Gymnopilus obscurus grows scattered on logs in mixed forests of California, in December.[1]
