International Sculpture Center

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The International Sculpture Center (ISC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1960 by Elden Tefft and James A. Sterritt at the University of Kansas. It is currently located at Grounds For Sculpture (the former the New Jersey Fairground) in Hamilton, New Jersey.[1]

Its goal is to advance the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society. The ISC publishes Sculpture, a bi-monthly magazine and presents a Lifetime Achievement in Sculpture Award. The International Sculpture Center's Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes sculptors who have made significant contributions to the field.

The ISC hosts a variety of programs, conferences, and symposia, aimed at growing their international membership and educating the profession as well as the general public about contemporary sculpture.

Members include sculptors, collectors, patrons, architects, developers, journalists, curators, historians, critics, educators, foundries, galleries, and museums—anyone with an interest in and commitment to the field of sculpture.
