Jack Lewis Moore (born 19 November 2003) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for National League North side Chorley, on loan from League One club Blackpool.[3]

Career

[edit]

Moore started out in the youth ranks at Burnley, before he joined Blackpool in July 2020, on an initial two-year scholarship.[4]

In January 2022, Moore signed an initial 18-month professional deal at The Tangerines,[5] and he joined Northern Premier League side Radcliffe on loan shortly afterwards.[6]

Having made seven appearances whilst on loan at Radcliffe, Moore returned to Blackpool and was named amongst the substitutes for the first time on the final day of the 2021–22 campaign which ended in a 5–0 defeat against Peterborough United.[7] In the following campaign, he featured on the bench again in a Championship fixture away at Huddersfield Town in September 2022.[8] Shortly afterwards, Moore signed a new deal which tied him down until the summer of 2024 - with an option of a further year.[9]

In January 2023, Moore was loaned to National League North side Chorley for a month,[10] but injury meant he failed to make an appearance at Victory Park. On 4 August 2023, he rejoined The Magpies on a three-month loan deal,[11] the loan was extended until 1 January 2024 on 3 November 2023, [12] then on 4 January 2024, the loan was extended until 29 January.[13] However, on 10 January, Moore was recalled by parent club Blackpool, after making 26 appearances for Chorley in all competitions.[14] Later the same day, Moore made his senior debut for Blackpool as he came as a 62nd-minute substitute for Andy Lyons in the Round of 16 of the EFL Trophy, which ended up a 2–1 win for the hosts.[15] On 7 May, Blackpool confirmed that they had activated an option to extend his contract with the club.[16]

On 9 August 2024, after spending pre-season in and around the first team setup, Moore joined newly promoted National League side Tamworth on loan for a month, [17] he was named on the bench for the opening game of the campaign as Tamworth drew 1–1 against Sutton United,[18] with his debut for The Lambs coming on Monday 26 August as he came on as 95th-minute substitute for Kyle Finn during a 3–2 win against Aldershot Town. [19] Moore returned to his parent club, Blackpool after making just one appearance for Tamworth and he rejoined National League North side, Chorley on loan for a third spell on 13 September on a deal until 12 January 2025.[3][20]
