Jean-Richard Sulzer (born 22 August 1947) is a French economist and politician.

Biography

Married and father of two children, Jean-Richard Sulzer is an associate professor of economics and management, a doctor in management (1978) and a graduate of HEC Paris. Founder and former director of the management research center at Sorbonne Paris North University, he was a financial expert before the courts and an editorialist at France-Soir, as well as a member of the council for compulsory deductions and a section member of the Economic, Social and Economic Council. environmental.[1]

Supporter then opponent of Edgar Faure, he was an activist in the Radical Party in the 1980s, worked for Raymond Barre then supported François Mitterrand during the 1988 presidential election. He was then an advisor to Jean-Pierre Soisson, president of the Burgundy regional council. He joined the FN in 2003.[2]

During the 2008 municipal elections in Paris, he was head of the FN list in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. He was elected regional councilor for Nord-Pas-de-Calais in 2010, Jean-Richard Sulzer is a member of the political bureau of the National Rally and was part of Marine Le Pen's campaign team in the 2012 presidential election.[3]

On March 23, 2014, he was elected in 5th position municipal councilor of Hénin-Beaumont and community councilor of the Hénin-Carvin urban community, on the National Rally list led by Steeve Briois. He is being considered for the position of finance assistant. On March 30, 2014, he was appointed 2nd deputy for finance, budget and public procurement. Until 2013, he was a professor at Paris Dauphine University.[4]

In 2015, he was director of the parliamentary office of Gilbert Collard, deputy for the 2nd constituency of Gard. Candidate on Marine Le Pen's lists during the 2015 regional election in Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, he was elected regional councilor. In December 2018, he launched the Jewish National Rally, subsequently renamed the France-Israel Jewish National Circle, to counter any anti-Semitic drift within the RN.[5]
