John Mason was a soccer player who played as a defender who played in the North American Soccer League. Born in Scotland, he earned one cap with the United States national team.

Mason was the first American Youth Soccer Organization (A.Y.S.O.) graduate to turn professional in early 1975. He played for the Los Angeles Aztecs of the North American Soccer League from 1975 to 1977.[1] He earned his cap in a 1-1 World Cup qualification tie with Canada on September 24, 1977.[2]
