John R. Thornton (Arkansas politician)

John R. Thornton (February 14, 1840 – December 2, 1910) was a lawyer, judge and state senator in Arkansas.[1][2]

He was born in Chambers County, Alabama and moved with his family to Arkansas in 1845. He served in the Arkansas Senate for eight years as a Democrat.[2]
