Judith Iwu (born 27 May 1982) is a Nigerian Nollywood actress who rose to fame with the hit movie House of Trouble.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Judith Iwu hails from Mbaitolu local government area in Imo State. Judith was born in Sokoto State, Nigeria to Mr Obioma Ononuju and Mrs Cecilia Ononuju.[3] She attended Umudim Central School and Ihodimeze Primary School for her elementary education before proceeding to Amaimo Girls Secondary School and Atta Girls Secondary School for her secondary education in Ikeduru local government area, Imo State. After completing her secondary education, Iwu relocated to Lagos State and pursued a bachelor’s degree in Insurance at the University of Lagos.[2][4][5][6]
Career
[edit]Iwu started her acting career with stage dramas in 2008, before officially joining the Nigerian Nollywood film industry in 2010.[4] She came to the limelight with her role in the 2016 movie "House of Trouble"[2][7] and acted in other movies such as Priceless Woman,[8] Nicest Gifts to Men,[4] Evil Household, Clinic Matters, Tears for Life, Oga Madam, Enemies of Progress, Oga Madam, Kidnappers, and Throne of Disaster etc.[2][9] Judith Iwu, while speaking on the welfare of her colleagues, said she was once a victim of poisoning while on set.[10][11]
Personal life
[edit]Judith got married very early in 1999 and the marriage was blessed with three children Bayo Iwu, Kizito Iwu, and Angelica Iwu, unfortunately the marriage ended in 2006 due to domestic violence,[2][4] she currently has a partner Ogechi Nwanekwu.[3]
