Karolina Protsenko (born 3 October 2008) is a Ukrainian musician, singer and ballet dancer, currently living in California. From an early age, she made a name for herself playing covers of hit songs in the streets of Santa Monica.

Karolina Protsenko was born on 3 October 2008 in Ukraine to Nikolay and Ella, amateur guitarist and pianist respectively. In 2014, the family left Ukraine for California and settled in Santa Monica; Karolina began taking violin lessons there. She also learned to play guitar and piano a few years later. Karolina Protsenko has practised ballet since she was very young.

Career

In 2017, Karolina suggested to her parents that she perform in the streets of Santa Monica to earn some pocket money; her performances were a huge success and the following year, with the agreement of her parents, she decided to post the videos on the Internet. The success was immediate: less than two years after she started, she had more than three million subscribers and over five hundred million video views; she had also recorded four albums and appeared on several television programmes. In June 2022, she had over 7 million subscribers on YouTube and almost 930,000 followers on her Instagram account. In July 2023, she had more than 8 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 980,000 followers on her Instagram account. On 20 August 2024, she had 8.42 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.8 million followers on Instagram and over 10 million followers on Facebook.
