[edit]Cultivated uniquely on Khola village's hilly slopes, the Khola chilli stands out with its striking red hue and elongated shape, boasting moderate pungency and an enticing aroma that defines its distinctive flavor.[3][4][5][6]
Khola Chilli was awarded the Geographical Indication (GI) status tag from the Geographical Indications Registry under the Union Government of India on 28 August 2019 (valid until 5 August 2028).[7][8][9][10]
