Lianhe station (simplified Chinese: 联和站; traditional Chinese: 聯和站; pinyin: Liánhé Zhàn; Jyutping: Lyun4wo4 Zaam6) is a station on Line 3 of Foshan Metro, located in Foshan's Nanhai District.[1] It will open on August 23, 2024. Due to the current need for the operation of Line 3 in sections, the station is also used as the southern terminus of the section from "Lianhe to Foshan University".[2] It is the second-largest station on the line.[3]

History

The station was called Guidan Road during the planning and construction phase, and in 2022 it was named Lianhe. The station began to enclose the construction of Guidan Road on August 9, 2017,[4] excavated the foundation pit on November 25, 2018,[5] and the main structure was capped on June 23, 2020.[3]

The station has an island platform under Lianhe Boulevard. There is a group of double storage lines at the south end of the station, and during the operation of Line 3 is divided into two sections, the trains from Foshan University station will turn back through the storage line, and this station will be the southern terminus of the northern section.[1]

Exits

The station has a total of 4 entrances/exits, lettered A-D, which are located on the east and west sides of Lianhe Boulevard.[1] In its initial opening, the station will have Exits A, B and C opened.[6]
