Liolaemus gununakuna is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae. The species is endemic to Argentina.[2][3]

Etymology[edit]

The specific name, gununakuna, is in honor of the Gününa küna, an aboriginal people who live in the area of the type locality.[3][4]

Geographic range[edit]

L. gununakuna is found in Neuquén Province[1][3] and Río Negro Province,[1] Argentina.

Habitat[edit]

The preferred natural habitats of L. gununakuna are grassland and shrubland, at altitudes of 300–800 m (980–2,620 ft).[1]

Reproduction[edit]

L. gununakuna is ovoviviparous.[1][3]
