Living Chaos is the upcoming sixth studio album by American deathcore band Oceano. The album is due to be released on August 30, 2024, through Sumerian Records.[1] It is the band's first album in seven years since Revelation,[2] and it is the band's only studio album to feature drummer Matt Kohanowski, who parted ways with the band in 2022.

Background

[edit]

After the band released Revelation in 2017, they recruited Matt Kohanowski (formerly of Shadow of Intent) as their new drummer to replace Andrew Holzbar (who is currently part of MyChildren MyBride and Impending Doom). The band would go on hiatus before releasing a brand new single titled "Mass Produced" on August 16, 2022.[3] which was received very positively by the fans.[4] Drummer Matt Kohanowski left Oceano on December 12, 2022.

In early 2024, the band hired Alex Nourse as a touring drummer[5] and announced a tour for the 15th anniversary of their debut album Depths with guests I Declare War, Within the Ruins, By The Thousands, The Last Ten Seconds of Life and A Wake in Providence.[6] On June 6, 2024, the band released another new single titled "Wounds Never Heal" (Touring drummer Alex Nourse would appear in the music video) along with the announcement of the new album Living Chaos which is due to be released on August 30, 2024, through Sumerian records.[7] It is the band's first studio album in seven years since 2017's Revelation. The band would also announce the Living Chaos Tour that will take place from September–October 2024 with guests To the Grave, VCTMS and Half Me.[8] The band also released another single off the album titled "The Price of Pain" on July 11, 2024. Vocalist Adam Warren explained that "'The Price of Pain' unravels a story of inner turmoil, suffering, and sacrifice."[9]
