Luodong River

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luodong River(Traditional Chinese:羅東溪 ) is the largest tributary on the south bank of Lanyang River[1]. Its upstream section is also called Han River[2], and the midstream section is known as Guangxing River[3]. It originates from the northeastern slope of Dayuan Mountain[4] and flows through Datong Township[5], Dongshan Township[6], Sanxing Township[7], and Luodong Township[8] in Yilan County[9], serving as the boundary river between Sanxing Township and Dongshan Township.[10]

Luodong River has tributaries including Fansheken River[11] (also known as Gulu River[12], originating from Fansheken Mountain[13]), Dagou River[14] (originating from Wumao Mountain[15]), Annong River[16], and Dakeng River[17] (originating from Dahutong Mountain[18]). Fansheken River and Dagou River converge near Sifanglin,[19] while Annong River and Dakeng River converge near Alishi.[20] These tributaries join the main stream of Luodong River near Lupucheng[21], and the main stream flows into Lanyang River before the Lanyang Bridge.[22]
