Maria Eduarda Alexandre (born 2007) is a Brazilian rhythmic gymnast.[1] She represents her country in international competitions.

Career[edit]

Junior

At the South American Championships in November 2021, she won junior AA, hoop, ribbon and team gold.

In December she won All-Around, ball and clubs gold and silver with hoop at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games[2] in Cali, Colombia.She became the first rhythmic gymnast in history to win gold at the junior JJPP[3]

The following year she competed appeared in the IT Junior of Portimao and in the at the Junior Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil she won gold with clubs, silver in teams, the All-Around and ribbon, bronze with hoop and ball.[4][5][6] She also repeated her AA title of South American Junior Champion in Paipa, winning all the golds for devices and teams

Senior

In 2023 she debuted in the senior category at the Aphrodite Cup in Athens, where she placed 13th in the AA and made it to the clubs final, where she placed fourth. Competing at the World Cup in Tashkent taking 17th place in the All-Around, 7th with hoop final, 26th with ball, 36th with clubs and 12th with ribbon.[7][8][9] At the stage in Baku He returned to the hoop final and she was 34th in the All-Around, 5th with hoop final, 31st with ball, 51st with clubs and 36th with ribbon.[10][11] In July she participated in the Brazilian Championship where she won the AA silver medal behind Geovanna Santos, gold in hoop and silver in ball and clubs.In November she competed at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile having conquered a pass as the All-Around champion of the 2021 junior edition, winning bronze in the All-Around,gold in the hoop and clubs, silver in ribbon.[12][13]
