Marie von Olfers (27 October 1826, Berlin – 8 January 1924, Berlin) was a German noblewoman, writer, illustrator and salonnière. She wrote under the pseudonym M(aria) Werner, Werner Maria.
Biography
[edit]Born into the noble Olfers family, she was the second daughter of the Ignaz von Olfers, a museum director, and his wife, Hedwig von Staegemann (1799-1871), herself a writer.[1] She also had a major artistic influence on her niece .
