Please change "<span id="specialDeleteLink" />" to "<span id="specialDeleteLink" ></span>" to avoid Category:Pages using invalid self-closed HTML tags errors. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:12, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please replace [[:$1]] with $2 to match MediaWiki:Linkshere. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 23:12, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the brackets around the $2, or change $2 to $1. The reason is that the MediaWiki message already passes a link into parameter $2 like this: No pages link to Some page (notice the additional link causing lint?) See also [1] Awesome Aasim 19:52, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Awesome Aasim Seems like we can just default this message? — xaosflux Talk 15:32, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Xaosflux I guess we can. But preserve the IDs added to the span tags. Awesome Aasim 15:35, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Awesome Aasim that sort of defeats the purpose of resetting - do we really need these id's - and only for people with their lang=en ? — xaosflux Talk 15:59, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think those IDs are for administrator actions, specifically deletion. We can have it then like this:
No pages link to <b id="specialDeleteTarget">$2</b>{{#ifexist:$1|<span class="sysop-show plainlinks" id="specialDeleteLink">([[Special:Delete/$1|delete]])</span>}} Awesome Aasim 18:59, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ug that looks even worse :) I removed the brackets. — xaosflux Talk 22:20, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
