Kuppusamy Sakthivel, the President of Milky Haven and Maadhar Foods, pursued his M.Tech from Pondicherry University. Following his studies, he embarked on a career with the Puducherry Police Department. However, driven by a profound passion for agriculture, he made the bold decision to leave his job.
In 2023, fueled by his deep interest in organic and natural products, Sakthivel founded Milky Haven and Maadhar Foods on a small scale. His vision was clear: to produce high-quality, organic dairy and food products. The turning point came when he introduced his homemade good curd in 500 ml packs. Its exceptional taste and purity captivated the attention of his friends and community.
Witnessing the enthusiastic response to his product, Sakthivel seized the opportunity to turn his passion into a business. One of his friends purchased the curd for Rs. 30, marking the inception of his entrepreneurial journey. From that moment onwards, Sakthivel's dedication and entrepreneurial spirit propelled Milky Haven and Maadhar Foods towards success, carving a niche in the market for organic and natural products.[4]
Milky Haven in India[edit]
The first office in India was opened in 2023 in Pondicherry. Following that, another office was opened in Puducherry. Over the course of one year, India became the biggest market for the company.[5]
Controversy[edit]
The controversy surrounding the brand arose due to allegations of mislabeling organic products. Consumers claimed discrepancies between advertised organic standards and actual production practices. Regulatory bodies launched investigations to ascertain compliance, impacting the company's reputation and consumer trust.[5][1]
