Early life and career

[edit]

Born in Longview, Texas, Jordan was raised in Ore City, Texas.[3][4]

In October 2015, Jordan was cast in his first role, being selected for the role of Jaden in the Jody Hill-directed film The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, in which Josh Brolin plays his father and Danny McBride plays a friend;[3] it was released in March 2018.[3][5]

In March 2017, Jordan was cast as Sheldon Cooper's older brother George "Georgie" Cooper, Jr. in The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon.[6] His character evolved to main character status over the course of the series' run, with Georgie's marriage to Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment) featured in the seventh and final season.[7]

In 2024, CBS ordered a spin-off series of Young Sheldon titled Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, which co-stars Jordan and Osment in the title roles.[8][9]
