Captain Naveen Nagappa is an Indian Army officer and Kargil War veteran who was awarded the Sena Medal for his gallant services for his actions on Kargil War. During the final assault of Battle of Point 4875 he was severely injured by an enemy grenade, sustaining injuries to both his legs. After 21 months of hospitalization and eight major surgeries he was declared medically unfit to serve. Now he is a Superintendent Engineer, indirectly serving for the defence forces of country.[5][6]
