The northern black-throated trogon (Trogon tenellus), also known as the graceful black-throated trogon,[2] is a bird in the trogon family, Trogonidae. It breeds in lowlands from southeast Honduras to northwest Colombia.[3] It has a yellow belly, pale blue eyerings and a yellow bill. Like all trogons, the northern black-throated trogon has distinct sexual dimorphism. Male has a greenish-blue upperpart, while female has a brown one.[4] It was previously considered conspecific with other black-throated trogons.[3]
