Orocrambus thymiastes is a moth in the family Crambidae.[1] It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1901.[2] This species is endemic to New Zealand,[3] where it has been recorded from Southland.[4] O. thymiastes prefers habitat that consists of boggy areas.[4] This species is associated with Chionochloa rubra.[5]

The wingspan is 18–23 mm.[4]
