Criteria[edit]

The only official criterion is for a selected picture is that it must be a free image. Fair use or copyrighted images cannot be used in Portal space.

To nominate an image as a Selected picture, paste the following markup below the Nominations header:

All debates should remain open for five days, except in cases where the nomination was obviously made in bad faith. An article should never be passed before five days, regardless of how decisive the vote is.

For Passed nominations:

  • Cut and paste the debate source code, including the header, directly under the Passed header on Portal:Baseball/Selected picture/Nominations/2007.
  • Create a new page by clicking on the first available red link under selected articles.
  • Center the image by adding center positioning parameter to the image.
  • Use your own discretion when deciding what text to include, keeping in mind any suggestions that were made during the debate. Other editors can always make changes later.
  • At the end of the text, include a link to the applicable article in the following format:
