1909 — Hudson Motor Car Company was formed in Detroit.
1968 — Introduction of the AMC AMX, a two-seat GT in style and approach sports car with a new 390 cu in (6.4 L) V8 by American Motors Corporation (AMC).
1992 — General Motors announces a cost-cutting plan which includes the closure of its Willow Run assembly plant, though their transmission operations there continue.
