Page deleted[edit]

I asked Tufkat what the deal with Portal:Music/Featured articles and this page was. [1] Basically, the FA page is simply a subset of the FA page (just the music related ones), which is OK by me. This page, however, was basically a second FAC page, which is NOT acceptable. It is not acceptable to call articles featured when they have not passed through the FAC. As such, I have deleted it. What about using the page to determine which music-related FA's will be featured on the music portal? I agree that I wouldn't like to see articles without featured status placed here, but there's plenty that are, and we need some way to decide which one to choose. If it's used only to choose amongst the currenlty featured articles which one(s) will go on the portal, I am 100% OK with that. What I object to is something like this - [2] - If you think a music-related article should be featured, please suggest it. Raul654 22:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
