Did you know

@Ansmdgotl1818: Thank you for your explanation of your blanking of the "Did you know" box. Here's my suggestion: in the top-quality portals, the "Did you know" box is restricted to facts that have appeared in the DYK box on the Main page. @John of Reading: Thank you for the great advice, John of Reading! I am trying to make edit that can give more neutral view about South Korea, and your advice is definitely going to help. If he/she is willing, I can also discuss with Illegitimate Barrister, who made the previous edit, to see if he/she disagrees on any of the new edits I would make. Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

Nb. Portal improvements have been restored (diff). An article list was posted at this talk page before the reversion. Consensus at VPP has approved the transclusion templates. Also, the user that reverted has since stated, "I commit to no further involvement with portals, in any form." (diff). As such, it is very unlikely the WP:BRD process will occur with the user.
