Summer Olympics appearances (overview)

Portugal competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. A delegation of sixty five competitors participated in a record number of eleven sports,[1] with the Star sailing team winning an Olympic silver medal, the second in Portugal's history.
