REALTORS Association of Edmonton

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The REALTORS Association of Edmonton (RAE) is a real estate professional organization with approximately 4,700 members in the Greater Edmonton region.

A volunteer board of directors governs the association, which is comprised of association members. The Association administers the Multiple Listing Service for the Greater Edmonton Area and its neighboring communities. Additionally, it offers professional education to its members and enforces a Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Practice.[1]

Multiple Listing Service

[edit]

The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is a database in the real estate industry, facilitating the exchange of property information among Association-licensed real estate professionals. Established to enhance the efficiency and transparency of property transactions, the MLS allows Realtors and brokers to list and access property information.[2]

The Multiple Listing Service encompasses details about properties, including descriptions, photographs, prices, and historical data, making it an invaluable resource for professionals looking to match buyers with suitable properties. This centralized platform not only broadens the exposure of listed properties but also ensures that the data provided is both accurate and current, which is essential for informed decision-making in real estate transactions.[3]
