Rasel Catering is a Singaporean catering company founded in 1997.[1]

History

[edit]

Rasel Catering was founded by Alan Tan and Chris Loh as Rasa Selera in 1997, before changing the name in 2001. It was the second caterer to attain halal certification in Singapore.[1]

In November 2022, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) suspended Rasel Catering from operating after 345 people were reported to have contracted gastroenteritis.[2] The suspension was lifted in December 2022.[3] In July 2023, Rasel was fined S$4,800 by the SFA for "multiple hygiene lapses".[3][4]
