Rhododendron eudoxum is a species of flowering plant in the Ericaceae family.[5] It is native to the bamboo forests of southeast Xizang and northwest Yunnan, China, where it grows at altitudes of 3,300–4,300 m (10,800–14,100 ft). It is a dwarf shrub that typically grows to 30–120 cm (1 ft 0 in – 3 ft 11 in) tall, with leathery leaves that are long-elliptic to oblong-obovate in shape, and 2.3–3 cm (0.9–1.2 in) long and 0.8–1.4 cm (0.3–0.6 in) wide. Its flowers are red.[citation needed] It is placed in section Ponticum.[6]
