Scott Michaels (born 15 March 1982) is an English football matchmaker, agent and entrepreneur.

Life and career[edit]

Michaels hails from Lancaster, England.[1] His early exposure to football was influenced by visits to Morecambe F.C. with his grandfather and watching the 1990 FIFA World Cup held in Italy.[1]

As a young entrepreneur in 2008, Michaels founded Hairbond, a haircare brand which has Jimmy Anderson,[2] and Simon Mignolet as brand ambassadors.[3]

In 2017, Michaels acquired global rights to the sports boot brand Stylo Matchmakers worn by Pele, Kevin Keegan and George Best in the 1970s.[citation needed] In 2022, he introduced the National Soccer League, featuring notable American teams.[citation needed][4]

Michaels is a critic of U.S. soccer,[5][6] accusing them of over-commercialization and nepotism within the U.S. soccer system.[7]
