The 18007 / 08 Simlipal Intercity Express is an Express train belonging to Indian Railways South Eastern Railway zone that runs between Shalimar and Bhanjpur in India.

It operates as train number 18007 from Shalimar to Bhanjpur and as train number 18008 in the reverse direction serving the states of West Bengal & Odisha.[1]

The 18007 / 08 Simlipal Intercity Express has six general unreserved & two SLR (seating with luggage rake) coaches . It does not carry a pantry car coach.

The 18007 / 08 Simlipal Intercity Express runs from Shalimar via Santragachi Junction, Kharagpur Junction, Rupsa Junction to Bhanjpur.

Traction[edit]

As the route is fully electrified, a Santragachi based WAP-4 electric locomotive pulls the train to its destination.
