[edit]I moved this page from +Crataegomespilus to here because frankly, I have no idea why it was created with the plus sign in the first place. I searched for the topic with the plus sign to no avail. -- Matthew Glennon(Talk to me) 22:38, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- The plus sign indicates the plant genus is not a true genus, but the result of a graft-chimera. The plus sign is very important, then. We also have plant genera articles that begin with a multiplication sign, e.g. × Cyathidaria, which indicates the taxon is an intergeneric hybrid. --Rkitko (talk) 13:50, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
