Kidney Conditions?[edit]

Untitled[edit]

On this page it says the first dose of drugs failed due to a kidney condition, However on the lethal injection page under arguements against is "he required a second dose of drugs to complete the execution. At first a prison spokesperson denied Diaz had suffered pain and claimed the second dose was needed because Diaz had some sort of liver disease.[10] After performing an autopsy, the Medical Examiner, Dr. William Hamilton, stated that Diaz’s liver appeared normal," So which is the correct? Kidney or Liver condition?

Angel Diaz Nieves (incorrect name) talk[edit]

Isn't his correct name Angel Nieves Diaz and not the other way round? That is the only reference that I can find on websites of significance. WWGB 01:33, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is. My bad about that. Someone should merge it with Ángel Nieves Díaz. Thief12 19:06, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This execution was probably okayed because of racism. There has been more horrible murderers, and they only got life in prison. --71.224.19.29 16:34, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Three different drugs[edit]

Why do they even bother to use three different drugs? A quart of penethol should be enough to kill anyone, and without pain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.67.39.222 (talkcontribs) 17 December 2006

I moved this conversation to Talk:Lethal injection and replied there. --ZeroOne (talk | @) 18:21, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Last meal[edit]

I read on Journal Inquirer that Diaz's last meal was shredded turkey tacos, rice and beans, apple crisp and iced tea. However, this article needs a source that proves he had that last meal. Can you find it, please? --Angeldeb82 20:53, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I found his last meal, along with his final statement in this link. --Angeldeb82 21:31, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Death Penalty Posponement[edit]

Change "until further notice" to "for seven months" or similar, since on the death penalty halt recently ended.

Felony Murder[edit]

According to the article, "Nieves Díaz and two friends, Angel Toro and another yet-unidentified man, robbed the Velvet Swing Lounge, a strip club in Florida. During the robbery, Joseph Nagy, the manager, was shot to death." If he was part of the robbery, and someone died in the course of robbery, then he was guilty of murder under the felony murder rule, and he was justly punished.
