Well, I never expected the day to come when someone else was nominating Norwegian rail-related article en-mass at GAN =) Many of the comments below are not GA criteria, but just good advice. If you nominate good quality articles, you get a free peer review instead.
- Comments
- Don't worry about piping links to avoid redirect. For instance, just write
[[railway station]]
instead of[[train station|railway station]]
- Peter Andreas Blix has an article.
- I notice you don't use the standard {{cite web}} and similar templates. While not a criteria, I would recommend it in future articles, as it is easier to modify and gives a consistent style throughout the encyclopedia. It takes a little to get used to, but after doing it a hundred times it goes faster than manually formatting references. It is also a lot easier with multiple editors, for instance if I had wanted to add a link, I don't need to "mirror" your format, but can just use the standard.
- Rom Eiendom should not use caps as 'Rom' is not an abbreviation, but a word. This is independent of the style used by the company itself.
- By other stations on the Follo Line you mean Østfold Line, right? The Follo Line isn't built and runs from Oslo S to Ski.
- Ok, but does the section of the Østfold Line between Ski and Moss have its own name? I think it should, since it actually was the first high-speed line in Norway, not Gardermoen as many (oops, weasel) believe. Eisfbnore (talk) 20:24, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- The whole line from Oslo to Kornsjø is called the Østfold Line, including both the branches via Moss and via Rakkestad. In Norwegian, these are referred to as vestre linje and østre linje, respectively. The Follo Line is the yet unbuilt section from Oslo to Ski (which will be high speed). The section from Ski to Moss is not truly high-speed, as it has a few curves that are not dimensioned for more than about 130 km/h. When the new track was laid in the early 1990s, the old track was removed, which by Norwegian norm does not give a new name (unlike for instance the Gardermoen Line, where the old line was kept). - In English (and unlike Norwegian and other Germanic languages) decimals use a period/full stop (.) rather than a comma (,)
- Instead of writing 31.15 kilometres, use
{{convert|31.15|km}}
. This produces an automatic conversion to the appropriate imperial unit. This is so our medieval friends across the Atlantic and North Sea can understand the units until they have been properly internationalized. - People with narrow screens have a hard time with 3 reference rows. Even on by 1280px screen, it is a bit narrow. I changed it to two.
- The second external link seems to be for Ski Station, so I removed it.
- If you watch the whole movie, you'll see that it approaches Ås in the end. Eisfbnore (talk) 20:24, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, feel free to re-add it then. I have to admit I didn't watch the whole thing. Arsenikk (talk) 12:19, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- From NJK's station database you can get the date of the opening.
I've fixed all the above, but the lead is still too short. Make it a full size paragraph, include information such as when it opened, the 1992 upgrade, and mention the café and other stuff. Don't worry about duplicating information, the lead will normally duplicate a lot of the main content with so short an article. Arsenikk (talk) 23:21, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
- I've expanded it a bit, hope you're satisfied. Eisfbnore (talk) 20:24, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- I am passing the article. Sorry for the slight delay, and I hope to see more of your article at GA soon :) Arsenikk (talk) 12:19, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
