Ürümqi Diwopu International AirportUrumqi Diwopu International Airport – due to new <Regulation on the Administration of Geographical Names> and the latest airport names permitted by CAAC, correct the official name without phonetic notation. 二武是大猫 (talk) 10:41, 2 September 2023 (UTC) ==[reply]

due to new <Regulation on the Administration of Geographical Names> and the latest airport names permitted by CAAC, correct the official name without phonetic notation.

The official name premitted by CAAC(The Civil Aviation Administration of China) is "Urumqi Diwopu International Airport" WITHOUT diacritics. There have been a lot of changes in phonetic transcription of airport names in recent years. The geographical names is "Ürümqi" definitely, but airport name is not equal to geographical names, all the airport names have no diacritics.(Source: www.eaipchina.cn) 二武是大猫 (talk) 02:52, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see this a compelling reason to deviate from the name of the city, please see WP:OFFICIALNAMESblindlynx 20:07, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ALL the name premitted by CAAC without diacritics, like Tangshan Sannühe Airport but named Tangshan Sannuhe Airport(http://travel.sina.com.cn/air/2009-06-01/092186683.shtml). Chongqing Xiannüshan Airport but named Chongqing Xiannvshan Airport(https://baijiahao.baidu.com/s?id=1645816444373528621&wfr=spider&for=pc). And other internal files that I can not show you, but you can also see the Ganzi Airport (official geographical name "Garzê", code GZG) or Longzi Airport (official geographical name "Lhünzê", code LGZ) on IATA code search website (https://www.iata.org/en/publications/directories/code-search/).
And finally, I paste the OFFICIAL info about "Urumqi Diwopu International Airport" from CAAC(www.eaipchina.cn) for you: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%E6%9C%AA%E5%91%BD%E5%90%8D1693775896.png 二武是大猫 (talk) 21:45, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
again, please read WP:OFFICIALNAMES. The fact it is its official name is not enough to be inconsistent with from the city—blindlynx 14:26, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unbelievable! Again, the airport name is not equal to geographical name! This is a airport name, NOT a geographical name, you use the spelling standard of geographical name in place of the spelling standard of transport facilities. The symbol of transport facilities NEVER used letters with diacritics in China!
