Talk:/b/ (disambiguation)

This page was proposed for deletion by Uanfala (talk · contribs) on 29 June 2019 with the comment: first off, unless there's a copyvio or gross content, it will be really helpful if the content of a page is not removed before placing a speedy deletion tag; second, WP:G14 doesn't apply as the page disambiguates two (rather than one) articles. Still, I don't think it's needed, so I'm proposing it for deletion: let the seven days elapse as it's easy to imagine why someone might have an objection It was contested by Gorthian (talk · contribs) on 30 June 2019 with the comment: Removing prod: this is a legit dab page with the entries I added |

The page should direct to the relevant subsection on the term at 4chan#.2Fb.2F. Skomorokh 13:54, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Many other imageboards also have a board named /b/
[edit]Essentially, these are just clones of the concept of 4chan's /b/. But this is not mentioned here. Why?--Possiblereasons (talk) 17:55, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Few of the other sites with /b/ boards are notable, thus not worth mentioning here. We could say something like "a name used for "random" boards of imageboard websites such as that of 4chan" if you like? Skomorokh 18:02, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. Or you could call it the name for the "random" board of 4chan, and mention that other imageboards use /b/ as the name for their "random" boards too.--Possiblereasons (talk) 18:06, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- That's a good suggestion. How about "the name of the “random” board of 4chan and other imageboard websites"? Or do we want say the others' is a derivative use? Skomorokh 18:09, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- The entire concept dates back to 2ch so I'm not sure giving credit to 4chan is a good idea. BJTalk 18:59, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- So how about the last wording I mentioned? Thanks for removing the full-protection by the way. Skomorokh 19:02, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

←No objections with that wording, but you might want to use normal quotes. BJTalk 19:03, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Done, thanks to you both for the input. Skomorokh 19:05, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Imageboard should probably also be wikilinked.--Possiblereasons (talk) 19:25, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Aye, go for it. Skomorokh 19:28, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

- Ah, I apologise; I didn't realise you were not autoconfirmed yet. Skomorokh 19:39, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
