[edit]I found the following info ([1]):
- 1232 - Arnolfo di Cambio, Florentine architect born (died in 1310)
But di Cambio's year of birth is not certain (it may as well have been many decades after the 1230s). Also in the French Wikipedia there is this:
- 1238 : début des travaux de l'Alhambra à Grenade. Chaque souverain de la dynastie des Nasrides apportera une pierre à l'édifice. Avec la fin de la Reconquista en 1492 cesseront les embellissements du palais.
Which literally means: beginning of the elaboration of Alhambra in Grenada. Each sovereign of the dynasty of the Nasrides brought a stone to the edifice. Along with the end of Reconquista in 1492 they ceased the embelishments of the palace. Of course, this text doesn't make much sense in English, so I will add it when I get the time to "anglify" it. Eventually, I added the info about Alhambra's construction, but not about di Cambio's birth. Omnipedian (talk) 00:50, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
