Moving the page[edit]

It is standard practice when dealing with US Army units, particularly combat arms units, to list them by regiment (if applicable) and then list each individual battalion on the same page. Take, for example, the 113th Field Artillery Regiment (United States) page that I helped to create. Each individual battalion is sub-listed on the page. It is also proper to put a (United States) tag at the end of the page name in order to avoid confusion with units in other countries. I'm going to move this page to 150th Cavalry Regiment (United States) in order to keep it in line with Wikipedia standard naming practices.

D Troop[edit]

There appears to be a possible issue with information regarding D Troop. The page for the 150th Cavalry Regiment lists there as being one tank unit assigned to the Regiment, located in Sanford, North Carolina, but the page for the 252nd Armor Regiment also lists there as being a D Company located in Sanford, North Carolina. I also found a page on the 150th on a site called "currentops" that mentions a D Company, 230th Brigade Support Battalion that it considers to be assigned to the 150th. On the other hand, I found a video from 2020 on "dvidshub", the "Defense Visual Information Distribution Service" that specifically features D Troop, 1-150th and shows them as using M1 Abrams tanks.

If anyone would have information that can help clear this up, it would be greatly appreciated. AC9016 (talk) 07:32, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Note: I have found an official press release from the US Army's own website (army.mil) detailing then-recent activity within the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team and specifying there as being a tank company called D Troop, 1-150th Cavalry. So at the very least, there was a D Troop using M1 tanks attached to the 150th Cav as recently as 2019. --AC9016 (talk) 18:51, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed someone wrote "In 1993, D Troop, 1-150th Cavalry finished phasing out the last of its M48A5 Patton tanks, replacing them with the M1A1 Abrams." This is incorrect. The 1-150th was fielded M1IP's and later in the early 2000's we were fielded the M1A1. 184.15.252.196 (talk) 14:42, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
