Attempts to raid Whitehaven?[edit]

John Paul Jones actually did raid Whitehaven - in that he landed, took some rather ineffective military action and then left. "Attempt" implies that he tried but failed - which is not really an accurate description. Unless any thoughts on this, I will amend. ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 16:43, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
