"Firsts" in trivia section[edit]
It seems a little unnecessary to mention facts such as "It was the first World Series title for the New York Giants." when this was only the second World Series ever played. I think they can be removed. One item worth relocating to the main article would be the switch to a best-of-seven series. (Dossett 16:43, 8 June 2007 (UTC))
Invalid editorial[edit]
"Mathewson pitched his third complete game shutout, which, in modern times, can never be duplicated." This may be true for a five game series, but in a seven game series, it is certainly possible for a pitcher to start games 1, 4, and 7, and pitch complete game shutouts in all of them (especially if there are any rain delays involved) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.10.18.77 (talk) 03:41, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
