Tuesday?
[edit]According to Wakefield Trinity RLFC - FIFTY GREAT GAMES. Breedon Books. ISBN 1 85983 429 9, authored by Les Hoole, Wakefield Trinity's 17-0 victory over Hull in the 1908–09 Challenge Cup final took place at Headingley Stadium on 20 April 1909 which was a Tuesday, and Tuesday is an unusual day for a Challenge Cup final, is this date/day correct? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 09:30, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- The date is confirmed as 20th April at Spirtus Temporis website on the pages for James Metcalfe and Thomas Newbold who played in the final[1]. The Converunits website confirms that that date was a Tuesday.Rimmer1993 (talk) 16:51, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- I believe the sentence on the Spirtus Temporis website is a copy of the sentence I originally wrote for James Metcalfe (rugby)#Challenge Cup final appearances. It was when I found that 20 April 1909 was a Tuesday, that my suspicions were aroused. Best Regards DynamoDegsy (talk) 18:02, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
