Porportionality

[edit]

This is a fighter squadron that has been around for over 6o+ years. Why is 75% of the page about one incident? It should have a paragraph at the most and the rest of it should be spun off into it's own article. This article is about the squadron...not the incident.--Looper5920 11:27, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking the same thing except that I have no idea how to title the spin-off article. Some options:
  • 190th Fighter Squadron friendly fire incident
  • Operation Telic friendly fire incident (March 28, 2003)
  • 2003 invasion of Iraq friendly fire incident (March 28, 2003)
  • Matty Hull friendly fire incident
  • Blues and Royals friendly fire incident
  • A-10 friendly fire incident (March 28, 2003)
  • United States Air Force friendly fire incident (March 28, 2003)

I'm leaning towards either one of the first two on the list above but would appreciate more comments before creating the article. If the 124th Wing's Public Affairs office would publish more information on the history and makeup of the unit on their website, then the non-friendly fire incident sections of the article could be expanded. They need to get their story out, or else their story will be provided for them by others. Cla68 23:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I actually like the one that begins with A-10. They are also having the same discussion on the Matty Hull page. Might not be a bad idea to run it by them as well.--Looper5920 06:22, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article has now been adjusted after someone else started the spin-off article. Cla68 23:53, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
