Was working on 1925–26 Victorian bushfire season but found much the same text in the separate article 1925–26 Australian bushfire season. It seems better to merge from Victoria to the Australian article, unless there was a significant amount of Victoria-specific detail forthcoming. Dl2000 (talk) 02:46, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

1925–26 Victorian bushfire season is the original article, written by me, 1925–26 Australian bushfire season is mostly a copy and paste of that article by another editor. As can be seen from the article, the bushfire season was particularly severe for that particular year in Victoria, and is certainly independently notable, with plenty of material for expansion.Melburnian (talk) 09:44, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Seems fair enough to redirect the other way for now (Australia --> Victoria) if the articles remain as they currently are (i.e. only some Victoria info; no details for other areas). However, in the longer term, the Victoria article remains small and if a general Australia material is developed the Victoria article may need to be expanded to support it as a separate piece.  Done 2 weeks seems enough - redirected 1925–26 Australian bushfire season back to here. Can reconsider once there's sufficient material on 1925-26 bushfires from other regions. Dl2000 (talk) 18:22, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
