Hall's past
[edit]Would it be worth noting that when Frederick Hall was originally elected (unopposed) as MP for this seat at the 1905 by-election he was a Liberal-Labour Candidate and only joined became a Labour MP in 1909 when the Miners' Federation of Great Britain instructed its MPs to take the Labour whip? Technically the first election he stood as Labour candidate was the January 1910 general election. Dunarc (talk) 20:07, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
